Station Rd. Marketing is a creative, integrated marketing agency based in Cardiff. We are now looking for a marketing executive to join our highly motivated team.
As a marketing executive, you will support the team to delivery strategic marketing plans/campaigns for a range of clients.
Responsibilities to include (But not limited to):
Due to the varied activities/ services of our agency the responsibilities of the role will vary. Responsibilities will include:
To liaise and build relationships with current client base in order to help deliver marketing & PR support.
To build and maintain contacts with the media.
To create content for and help manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest etc)
To help write and distribute press releases.
Copywriting for a range of marketing channels.
To prepare photography briefs and attend photo shoots for clients.
To arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials.
To help maintain, build and update mailing databases.
To help organise and attend events and exhibitions.
To develop strategic relationships to secure sponsorship and to assist with the publicity and funding of marketing projects.
To help carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness.
To monitor clients’ competitor activity.
To be successful you will require:
A minimum of 6 months experience
Excellent written English and proven ability to write engaging copy
Great planning and organisational skills
An aptitude for problem solving
An inquisitive nature
An ability to be flexible in a fast-changing environment
Demonstrable understanding of marketing/PR theory
Understanding of social media marketing
The ability to work well in a close team environment
A reasonable level of numeracy
If you have experience of running and monitoring social media and digital campaigns for commercial businesses, this would be a great asset for this role.
Also, if you have experience with Google Analytics and understand the basics of optimising web content for SEO purposes that would also be beneficial.
It is essential that you have an ability to adapt to varied marketing activities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. To fit in you will need to be a results-focused, productive individual with a resourceful can do attitude.
You are ideally a graduate in marketing, business studies or journalism
You value process; you like to take logical steps to see things through to the end
You have great attention to detail and take responsibility for yourself
You are capable of planning your own workload, analysing situations, organising and administering tasks
You have a great ‘can do’ attitude and ambition
